I think this just goes to show that buyers are less patient with online shopping as it is more about convenience and a time saving activity. Make sure as an eCommerce merchant that the technology you use is fast and reliable. This means having a reliable web host, shopping cart system that does not fail, and a payment gateway that is up. If it not up, you should also have a graceful way to authorize the transaction (to capture later) without the customer being overly involved. This way you get the sale and the buyer can go on with their business. The outcome is the same. Its a little bit more work for you, but the customer is happy.
Just 18 percent of consumers will try to complete a transaction again after a failed first attempt, down from 23 percent who said the same last year.
