I already uninstalled Xmarks. Their only unique offering now is cross browser syncing. There’s a problem with Xmarks not being able to sync Quick Searches (%s in the URL) due to a Chrome API limitation. My advice to them is to go for the pay whatever you want model like RadioHead and see where it goes. $10 even for some people is too much. If you can harness the power of the mass via Paypal, you might be able to stay afloat.
“I will commit to $10 – $20 per year for Xmarks Sync, but only if 100,000 other people will do the same,” Xmarks’ pledge read on the site.
