Q: We see a lot of adoption from Amazon, but not as much from eBay – do you think that the cart on Amazon is helping them. Will eBay have a cart.
A: eBay is working with ChannelAdvisor on a cart that users are asking for – they will partner folks to deliver in a way that's great for buyers sellers.
You had a perfectly good shopping cart using eBay Express? What’s the reason for working with ChannelAdvisor unnecessarily? Personally, I’ve had the unfortunate experience of using ChannelAdvisor many times. The checkout is bloated, slow, and deceitful. Any time I see an eBay seller using ChannelAdvisor, I look for alternatives. Yes, that means you Jack Sheng Mr eForcity. No one should have to go through multiple pages to finish checkout. It also takes “1 minute” for CA to talk to eBay API. Finally, if items are offered free shipping, that is not necessarily the default at the time you pay for an item — which is yet another click to make for checkout.
eBay Checkout is efficient, but it just needs a shopping cart. eBay Express is the way to go, not ChannelAdvisor.
